Allegory of the Great Cypress. In the eleventh year, on the first day of the third month, this word of the Lord was addressed to me: Son of man, say to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and to his hordes:

What can compare in greatness with you?
    Consider Assyria, formerly a cypress in Lebanon,
with beautiful branches and lofty in stature,
    and its top above the thick foliage.
